Temperatures across Cumbria are set to reach highs of 25 degrees next week.
Rising over the weekend, temperatures are set to peak on Wednesday, July 31 at around 25 degrees in Carlisle making a welcome change from the cool, wet summer we have seen so far.
Low pressure has dominated most of the summer which has meant our weather has remained damp and cool.
But, according to the Met Office, high pressure is set to move in to the region bringing with it warmer temperatures.

David Hayter, deputy chief meteorologist at the Met Office said: “As we go through the weekend, the jet stream will weaken to the west of the UK generating an area of high pressure that will slowly move in across the UK.
"High pressure means the air is sinking from higher in the atmosphere and that brings drier, settled and sunnier weather.
